Microchip ID announces the world’s smallest implantable glass encapsulated transponder, and a damage resistance armored antenna.

The Nano Transponder size is Length: 7 mm (0.275 in.) Diameter: 1.25 mm (0.049 in.). The Nano is pre-programmed and can be read using any of our RFID reader systems. It is packaged pre-sterilized in a smaller diameter disposable needle delivery system which allows implanting the smallest of animals.

The new ANT611A-Armored Antenna has undergone stringent prototype testing simulating the most onerous laboratory conditions. The electronic components in the antenna have been encased in a special thermosetting resin ensuring maximum resistance to impact and shock loading. In addition the external connections have been upgraded from plastic to more robust metal connectors ensuring greater connection strength and resistance to detachment when fully flexing the attachment cable.
